Preparing to Leave
Now that my family and I had our truck and RV, we needed to get moved in. Honestly, at first it looked like a tornado had come through Cleo the camper. Stuff was everywhere: on the floor, on the kitchen counters, on our beds: it was chaos. But we tackled it head-on and soon we had it looking great. We also removed the couch in the room Mia and I shared and used the space to create a reading nook.
Before
Our first night sleeping in the camper was so exciting! It was really beginning to feel like home. It was easy to imagine us in some far-off state like Montana or Minnesota, cuddled up in little Cleo.
After we had moved in!

During our first week in Cleo it rained every day. But that was both a blessing and a curse, because we realized we had a leak in the RV roof. But thankfully it was a small leak and an easy fix. My dad climbed up on the roof and replaced the sealant, and since then we haven't had any problems with it.
Now whenever my family and I are down at my grandpa's house we sleep in Cleo. Mia and I play and read in her and we love it. My mom is a travel agent and works from home, so she does part of her work in Cleo. My dad is a machinist so he goes out to work every day, but when he comes home he'll usually hang out in the camper to watch TV and spend time with us. We have also had extended family come tour the RV, like my great grandpa. He is 92 years old and one of the sweetest men I know. His verdict for Cleo was: "I've never seen anything like this in my day."

We have gotten a lot done in Phoenix and Cleo and I've enjoyed being able to put together my home; but I have also had good times while waiting for the camper and staying at my nana's house and grandpa's house.
Chilling at my nana's
One of the things I enjoyed doing was going to a Fourth of July celebration near my nana's house for fireworks and other fun activities. As you can see from the picture below, we had a wonderful time.

My nana adopted my sister Mia's cat, Finn, because unfortunately he couldn't go RVing with us. Thankfully he seems to have adapted to his new home relatively well. Also, he is in love with my nana's couch.
Nap time 💖
At my grandpa's house we have had many campfires and I've enjoyed the time spent in nature with family. We sing songs around the campfire and I love the feeling of safety and happiness that I get when we're all together having fun.
